All trophic levels of organisms are essential and integral to the ecosystem. The removal of producers would impact all herbivores, as they rely on producers for sustenance. The subsequent death of herbivores would then affect primary carnivores, and so on. If all deer (herbivores) were eliminated from a region, it could lead to an increase in producers. Concurrently, other herbivores like rabbits, goats, and sheep would increase due to reduced competition. This would also result in a population increase of consumers feeding on these augmented herbivore populations. Therefore, the ecosystem's balance is disrupted by the removal of any constituent organism.
