Mental Health Awareness in Indian Youth
by Neha/Nitin Kapoor, Class XII \end{center} Mental health among India's youth is an escalating concern in our rapid society. Academic strain, peer pressure, and social media's influence frequently leave young individuals feeling isolated and overwhelmed. A significant hurdle to tackling mental health challenges is the scarcity of awareness and support systems. Many students refrain from seeking assistance due to apprehension of societal judgment. Increased awareness can help dismantle this stigma and promote timely intervention. Promoting mental health literacy empowers young people to comprehend their feelings, effectively manage stress, and cultivate resilience. Educational institutions should partner with mental health experts to host informative workshops and provide counselling. Fostering a secure and encouraging atmosphere, both within the family and educational settings, is crucial for cultivating emotionally robust youth.
