Respected Sir,
Through this letter I want to bring to your notice the poor sanitary condition of our area, Civil Lines. For nearly a month now, the municipal sweepers have not visited our street, and the community dustbins are overflowing onto the road itself.
Apart from the visual unpleasantness, this has led to a sharp rise in mosquitoes and stray dogs in the locality, and residents fear the onset of dengue during the coming season. The public tap near the market also runs alongside an open, unclean drain, raising concerns about contamination of drinking water.
I earnestly request the municipal authority to depute sanitation staff to the area without further delay and to consider installing covered dustbins to prevent this problem from recurring.
I trust prompt action will be taken in the interest of public health.
