In Hindu mythology, Indra, referred to as ’Devaraj’, is the king of gods. He governs Svarga (heaven) and presides over the Devas (gods). Indra is associated with thunder, rain, and lightning, and is often depicted wielding his thunderbolt weapon, Vajra. He is also honored as a protector and warrior, defending the heavens from demons.
