The Criminal Law (Amendment) Act, 2013, is popularly known as the Nirbhaya Act.
This act was passed by the Parliament of India in response to the massive public outrage following the 2012 Delhi gang rape and murder case.
The Act amended several sections of the Indian Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, and the Indian Evidence Act to introduce stricter laws and punishments for crimes against women.
It came into force on 3rd February 2013.
Therefore, the year of implementation was 2013.
