Students are increasingly harmed by cybercrime and cyberbullying, leading to lasting mental health issues. Misusing technology to harass others, through actions like hacking, spreading lies, and posting hurtful comments, causes victims to feel insecure, doubt themselves, and develop emotional problems. The main reasons for cybercrime are a desire for control, seeking amusement, and insufficient online conduct rules. Without enough supervision, people can exploit others without immediate repercussions. This presents significant difficulties for students who may struggle with the emotional impact of online abuse. Stronger regulations and increased awareness are necessary to address these problems.
