Indian health care services help to promote, maintain, monitor or restore health of people. Discuss how these health services are provided to people at three different levels.
Primary Health Care:
This is the initial interaction point for individuals, families, and communities with the healthcare system, delivered in villages via subcenters, Primary Health Centres, and dispensaries.
Secondary Health Care:
At this level, more intricate health problems are addressed through referrals to district hospitals and community health centers. Community health centers serve as the initial referral point.
Tertiary Health Care:
This represents the most specialized tier of healthcare, encompassing medical college hospitals, regional hospitals, and institutions like AIIMS, which handle highly complex medical conditions.
