Rajghat is the memorial site for Mahatma Gandhi, located on the banks of the Yamuna river in Delhi.
It was built after his cremation there in 1948 and has since become a national symbol of peace and non-violence. Every year on Gandhi Jayanti and his death anniversary, people gather at Rajghat to remember his life and work.
