Bahar Khan, governor of Bihar, honored Sher Shah Suri with the name "Sher Khan" after he single-handedly killed a tiger. Subsequently, Sher Shah vanquished Humayun, founding the Sur Empire (1540-1545 CE) and enacting significant administrative changes.
