Acid rain is primarily associated with two strong mineral acids:
- Sulfuric acid (derived from \( \text{SO}_2 \)).
- Nitric acid (derived from \( \text{NO}_x \)).
Methane, carbon dioxide, and ozone are greenhouse gases but are not the main drivers of acid rain.
