Use the four-bucket sorting of water diseases: borne (drink it), washed (too little water for hygiene), based (aquatic intermediate host), related (insect that breeds in water).
The water-related bucket means a vector that breeds in water carries the disease. Yellow fever rides the Aedes mosquito, which lays eggs in water collections, so it lands squarely in this group alongside malaria, dengue and filariasis.
The distractors belong elsewhere: cholera and dysentery are waterborne, caught by swallowing faecally contaminated water; scabies is water-washed, tied to insufficient washing rather than the water itself carrying the bug. Only yellow fever is vector-bred, so it is the water-related disease. Ref: Park PSM.
