Step 1: Split the choices into bonding types. One option, covalent, shares electrons between atoms; the other three (hydrogen, electrostatic, van der Waals) are non-covalent attractions of much lower energy.
Step 2: Compare bond energies. A shared electron pair, as in a peptide or disulphide bond, holds atoms together far more tightly than any electrostatic, hydrogen or van der Waals contact. So the covalent bond is the strongest.
Step 3: Rank the weaker ones for completeness: electrostatic is stronger than hydrogen, and van der Waals forces are the feeblest. None of these out-pulls a covalent bond.
