Step 1: Stone splitting analysis.Large stone blocks are split by applying powerful, controlled outward pressure from within a drilled hole or seam.
Step 2: Tool assessment.The standard toolset, "Feathers and Wedges" (also "plug and feather"), is used. Holes are drilled, with two "feathers" (shims) inserted into each. A "wedge" then creates even pressure, splitting the stone. A banker is a workbench, a pitcher is a shaping chisel, and a claw is a texturing chisel.
