Urine Pathway and Reabsorption:
Urine Pathway: Urine production commences in the kidneys. Blood undergoes filtration within the nephrons, the kidney's functional units, yielding an initial filtrate. This filtrate subsequently traverses the renal tubules, where reabsorption and secretion processes take place.
The resultant urine is gathered in the renal pelvis, subsequently moving via the ureter to the urinary bladder for storage, prior to elimination through the urethra.
Reabsorbed Substances: Glucose and amino acids are examples of substances reclaimed from the initial filtrate within the tubular segments of the nephron. These vital nutrients are returned to the bloodstream to support the body's metabolic operations.
