Construction:
A room cooler comprises these primary components:
Water tank: Stores water for distribution to the cooling pads.
Cooling pads: Constructed from cellulose or aspen, these pads absorb water and offer extensive surface area for evaporation.
Fan/blower: Pulls warm external air and expels cooled air into the room.
Water pump: Recirculates water from the tank onto the cooling pads.
Housing and grills: Contain the internal parts and guide the air movement.
The water pump continuously transfers water from the tank to saturate the cooling pads.
The fan draws hot ambient air through the moistened cooling pads.
As air traverses the pads, water evaporates, extracting heat from the air and reducing its temperature.
This cooled, humidified air is then directed into the room, thereby lowering the room's temperature.
