Changing Relationship

Childhood: When the author was a small boy, he and his grandmother were very close. She woke him, bathed him, dressed him, accompanied him to school and helped him with lessons. Their lives were almost completely shared.
School and city life: As he grew older and went to an English school and later to university in the city, they spent less time together. He travelled by bus, studied subjects she did not understand (like English and science), and later had his own room. Their daily physical closeness slowly decreased.<
