These hormones initiate the body's "fight or flight" response by: accelerating heart rate and increasing contraction strength (D), triggering glucose release from the liver (a hyperglycemic effect - B), and inducing piloerection (hair erection - C). They induce pupillary dilation, not constriction (A).
